Having problems with your PC? Is it running slowly, or crashing at inopportune moments? Your problem just might be a tiny spec of bad memory or RAM. Want to make sure? If youre running Windows, theres a nifty little tool hidden inside that will check your memory to see if any of it might be faulty. Free, easy, and peace of mind is just a click away. Even though this tip says it is for Windows 7, it works on Vista too!
You can do this by clicking windows start key and type in, mdsched and press enter. Then a pop up will appear asking you either, 1.restart now and check for problem or 2.check for problem the next time you restart your computer. Just click either one. If you click the first one your computer will reboot and you'll come up to a memory diagnostic tool to look for any errors. Just let it run and scan your computer and after it finish, it will restart your computer into windows.
